September 26 to 30

Our first field trip, to Bow Habitat Station, will take place on Tuesday, October 18. We require several volunteers for that activity. Please get in touch if you can volunteer!

October Scholastic orders are due on Monday, October 17. 

This week: 

• Terry Fox Run is on Thursday at 2 pm. If you would like to donate Toonies for Terry, please bring them in!
• We will be harvesting veg from the garden on Wednesday—please dress in clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.  
• Friday is the Harvest Party.
• Friday is also Orange Shirt Day. Students are welcome to wear orange or a related colour to show recognition of those who were forced to attend residential schools.  

Next week:

September 19 to 23

This week: 

• SLAs continue on Monday and Tuesday. 
• Learning Conferences take place on Thursday evening, and Friday morning. Sign up for your time here.
• There is no school on Friday because of Learning Conferences. 
• If you haven't already, please send in the completed package of start-up paperwork. The blue Fee Agreement letter, which wasn't in the package, went home last week. Please send it all back in! 

Next week:

September 12 to 16

This week: 

• Student Learning Assessments (SLAs) are taking place this week and next. The purpose of these assessments is not to grade the kids, but rather to see what they can and cannot do in terms of literacy and numeracy. We will be sharing the outcomes of these assessments with Grade 3 parents at Learning Conferences next week.
