January 25 to 29

Homework—Must Do
  • 30 minutes of reading (silent or partner) at least 3 times per week
  • 10 minutes of basic fact work (times tables!) at least 3 times per week

This week:
  • Wednesday is "Cozy Up and Read" day—wear your jams, and bring a stuffy and your favourite book.
  • We have our fourth session with Matthew Miller from Alberta Health Services this week.
  • Friday is an early dismissal day.
  • Progress Reports go home on Friday.

Next week:
  • Monday is a Non-Instructional Day (no school for kids!).
  • We will be having our fifth Zones of Regulation session with Matthew Miller.
  • On February 3, Branton School will be presenting to all Grade 6s about their late-immersion French program (the presentation will take place at the school)—this was rescheduled from an earlier date.

Ask Me:
  • Why knowing the times tables up to 12 is so important in learning factors and fractions.
