This week:
  • We will be at Bowness Park all day on Wednesday. Please ensure that your child is dressed for morning and afternoon weather, and that he or she has a good lunch with adequate snacks as well as a water bottle. 
  • There will be talent show auditions for Grades 3/4 on Tuesday and Grades 1/2 on Thursday. 
  • We have a presentation from Creative Classrooms on Friday morning. 
  • Friday is an early dismissal.  


Next week:
  • There will be talent show auditions for Grades 5/6 on Tuesday at lunch, and possibly on Thursday at lunch as well (for overflow auditions).

This week:
  • The Grade 3-6 Spring Concert will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday night. Students should be in their classrooms no later than 6:40 pm. 
  • We are planting our Room 17 garden box this week. 
  • There will be a ROARS assembly on Thursday.  
  • There is no school for students this Friday. 
  • Bring your water bottle!

Next week:
  • There will be auditions for the talent show at lunch on Tuesday and Thursday. 
  • We are spending Wednesday at Bowness Park (walking field trip).

There will be a letter going home on Tuesday about the tragic accident which occurred over the weekend. 


This week:
  • We will be working with Carole Bondaroff (TREX) on Monday. The students will be learning all about printmaking.
  • Part I of the Language Arts PAT will take place at 9 am on Thursday.
  • There will be a ROARS assembly on Friday.  
  • This Friday is an early dismissal.
  • Bring your water bottle!

  • The Grade 3-6 Concert Assembly will take place on Wednesday, May 18 from 7 to 8 pm.

May 2 to 6

    A special media consent form is going home today (Friday). We will have representatives from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition Program (TREX) working with our students. They would like to use images of the students and their work in promotional material. Please sign and return the form on Monday, May 9 if you give your consent for your child to be photographed. 


    This week:
    • The Craft Sale is on at lunchtime all week in Room 8. No looky loos—you must have cash to enter.  
    • This Friday is a full day Friday.
    • It's hot this week, so make sure to bring your water bottle!

    Next week:
    • Presentation for students attending Pratt in the fall on Wednesday afternoon. 
    • LA PAT Part I will take place on Thursday, May 12. Although 5s and 6s will write the test (it's a story and a news article), only the 6s work will be sent to Edmonton for assessment.
    • Friday is an early dismissal. 
    • There is a ROARS assembly on Friday morning.
