Upcoming Field Trips:

This Week:
  • The kids will starting their Rube Goldberg machines this week. They are welcome to bring supplies as needed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. 
  • Tuesday is Fan Day. Dress to reflect things you like. 
  • Wednesday and Thursday are Student-Led Conferences. Please make sure to have your child along with you, as he or she will lead the conference (not a sit down with teachers). 
  • There is no school for students on Thursday or Friday (Spring Break). 

Next Week:
  • School resumes on Monday, April 3. 

School Maker Faire will take place at TELUS Spark! from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on May 10.

The CBE is developing a K-12 mathematics strategy that will help our students succeed in math. We want to hear from you on what you think would benefit students in learning math and help you as a parent or guardian to support your child.
Please complete our online survey anytime between Feb. 22 and Mar.15. Your input will be used to help us create the best strategy for future math success.

This Week:
  • Please see the list of components for the upcoming Rube Goldberg. Kids can bring supplies any time and store them in the classroom. 
  • School Council meeting has moved to Tuesday, March 14. 
  • There will be a ROARS assembly on Friday, March 17.  

Next Week:
  • Student-Led Conferences will take place on Wednesday, March 22 from 4 to 8 pm and Thursday, March 23 from 8 am to 1 pm. 
  • No school on Friday, March 24 (PD Day). 
  • Spring Break!  (classes resume on Monday, April 3).

Please work on basic facts at home. We had a big discussion about learning addition and subtraction facts up to 20, and learning multiplication up to 5s for now. 

Please spend 10 minutes, three times a week helping your child work on his or her basic fact skills.
